Missio Dei and Missional Living

Missio Dei is Latin and means "mission of God." It is God, in his sovereignty, glorifying himself by initiating and sustaining a plan of salvation that will reach all the people of the world, including your neighbor. As Jesus followers, we have an important role to play in Missio Dei because the sovereign Lord over all things partners with us to accomplish his mission of salvation. Consider the magnitude of this! If you have ever felt under utilized as a Kingdom person, feel that way no more – your role in Missio Dei is essential. While Missio Dei exalts God as the Creator and Savior of all humankind, it is we, the Church, who is the purveyor of his salvation message. You are welcome – you now have something to do.
