Community Development
A Fresh Start

Zion Lutheran Church is now home to Hmong Lutheran Church and we are exploring what other future ministry opportunities might take shape in this historic building.  Possibilities include youth programming, event space, educational opportunities, or a new church plant.  Pray for God’s guidance and discernment regarding the next steps for Zion.

Indigenous/Missional Leadership
American Indian Outreach

Rich Latterner is reaching out in the Little Earth community of Minneapolis to American Indians. Rich is making connections with many American Indian children and adults through house churches, one-on-one Gospel proclamation, Bible studies and chaplaincy ministry. Rich's work is generously supported through a grant from Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).

Immigrant Ministry

LINC-TC proudly supports the ministry of Lusienie Fofana, a student in the EIIT (Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology) program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.  Raised Muslim, Fofana converted to Christianity after fleeing civil war in Liberia.

He now leads a Liberian Immigrant ministry at Bethel Lutheran Church in St. Paul and hopes to be ordained in three years.  Praise God for this gifted servant!

Church Multiplication
Church Planting Round Table

A new initiative of LINC-TC was launched in 2009: The Church Planting Round Table. Leaders from many area ministries are coming together quarterly with a goal of planting new worshipping congregations. Pooling resources and intentional prayer are important components of this effort. There is more room at the “table” for congregations interested in getting involved.

Reaching the Next Generation

Finding ways to connect young adults to church can be a challenge.  LINC-TC is partnering with the Oswald Hoffmann School of Christian Outreach, Concordia St. Paul, and area congregations to provide a Learning Lab where ministry leaders can become equipped with relevant, effective models for reaching the 21st century culture.

The plan is to begin with community development, train indigenous missional leaders, and unleash the gifts of young adults to reach their generation.  Pray for this exciting endeavor.

Trinity First Church Plant

LINC-TC has been involved in the effort to help shape the future ministry at Trinity First in Minneapolis.  Opportunities are endless in this diverse and active neighborhood.  With funding partners in place for the next three years, the call committee is close to starting the call process for a church planter.  Please pray for the person God has gifted for this unique position in ministry.
