LINC-Twin Cities, who we are, volunteer opportunities

At the heart of LINC is the individual who has been led by the Spirit to serve others.  In serving, we identify with Jesus’ purpose and strengthen the body of Christ.  Each of our volunteer opportunities has the ultimate goal of making the Gospel accessible to those who don’t know Christ.  Thank you for your help!

Summer Bridge to Success

Type Of Work - Work With Children
Participation/Age Requirement - Family Opportunity
Date/Time Needed - Week Days

Time of Need: 1:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m.

General Description: Summer Bridge to Success (SBS) provides academic enrichment in a Christ-centered environment at Trinity First Lutheran School to the children of the Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis during the summer months.  In the morning students spend time on math and reading, then in the afternoon are able to explore different areas of interest to them. Volunteers are needed to share a hands-on "show-and-tell" of activities about which they are passionate. Activities might include sports, music, arts, careers, cultures, or hobbies. We want students to experience a wide variety of activities. Topics will be scheduled based on our theme for that week and will be coordinated in the spring.
